Aussiepubs
Aussie pubs
came about out of sheer frustration. My wife (Michelle)
and I (Greg/Brainy) sold our country pub and wanted
to buy another, somewhere completely different.
However with
the vast open spaces of Australia it was not as easy
as jumping in a car and having a look at a pub, it could
be a four day drive. In 1997 we travelled 1/2 way round
Australia stopping at almost every pub and taking photos
of the rest, we fell in love with the aussie pub. We
knew there were so many great characters to meet.
I remember
spending New Years Eve in 3 Ways pub in NT with people
from Holland, England and Germany, it was the place
to be. So we thought by having a site like aussiepubs
we could introduce the aussie pub to the world on a
personal level. See the bar, meet the licencee/manager
and even the local characters. You can get to know a
little history on the pub and what the pub is famous
for.
So if your
heading off check out aussie pubs and meet some great
people on the way, I guarantee you'll go back .
